Robert Burdine is a compassionate and dedicated licensed professional counselor in South Carolina, with a strong commitment to helping others live lives full of vitality, fulfillment, and meaning. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Clemson University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision.
As a School Mental Health Therapist and supervisor at the SC Department of Mental Health, Burdine primarily focuses on working with children and adolescents. He also has extensive experience providing counseling services to adults and couples.
Utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Burdine's primary therapeutic approach focuses on helping clients develop psychological flexibility and align their lives with what matters most to them.
He is passionate about creating and developing group therapy curriculums for children and adolescents, with his latest release, "Friending 101: Building Deeper Connections," offering a dynamic and engaging program designed to help young people strengthen their interpersonal relationships and communication skills. Burdine is currently working on several other projects, including "This Time It's Personal," which centers on conflict resolution, as well as various self-help and clinician development resources.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Burdine enjoys a diverse range of interests, including writing, music, travel, and college football. Through his dedication to the field of mental health and his personal passions, he continues to make a positive impact on the lives of those he serves.
